MINUTES of MEETING August 7, 2007

DUESNOTICE2007.jpg - 354609 Bytes The meeting was called to order at 8:45 PM. The secretary's report was given by Carla Miller. Tom Casey moved that the June minutes be accepted as read. David Brundage seconded. Motion carried.
Treasurer's report:There was no Treasurer's report.
President's report: The President's report was given by Wade Campbell. Mark Westerman agreed to $22 per entry to provide stock handlers, secretary, show site, portable toilet, and stock. The club will be responsible for providing timers and scribes and the AKC recording fees and trial application fee.

OLD BUSINESSCarla Miller will contact Mark Westerman for a written contract signed by him stating terms for trial site rental.
Membership: No new applications were turned into Sue.
NEW BUSINESSDavid Brundage said domain name for web site is up for renewal. $8.99 is cost for 1 year. A motion was made by David to pay 3 years renewal of domain. Tom Casey seconded. Motion carried. David made a second motion to renew hosting of web site by Godaddy for 3 yrs with cap of cost @ $300. Tom seconded and motion carried.
David has been trying to contact area FFA's. He reached Danny Estep of Celina regarding showing FFA about herding. David also contacted the Collin Co Extension Officer who is in charge of FFA. He was intersted in herding education program in form of talk or demonstration.
Carla Miller made motion that we alternate meeting sites between Steak 'N Ale in Plano on odd months and Steak 'N Ale at Abrams in Dallas on even months.David seconded. Wade wanted to table the motion until next month. Tom Casey seconded. Motion tabled. Tom Casey moved we adjourn. Mary Campbell seconded. Meeting adjourned at 9:25pm.
