MINUTES of MEETING August 5, 2008

President Wade Campbell called the August meeting of NCTHDA to order at 8:34 p.m. on August 5, 2008.
The Secretary report was read by Sue Sweetnam and was approved as read by Mary Campbell and 2nd by Susan Sexton. Motion carried. Wade Campbell reported that he has received the contracts back from the judges.
Treasurer's report:Sue Sweetnam read the Treasurers report; there is a balance in the checking account of $8758.98. Motion to approve treasurer’s report was made by Barbara Palmer and 2nd by David Brundage. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS
There were no Committee reports. NEW BUSINESS
Sue Sweetnam reported that the Sportsman Insurance Agency Plan, Inc. has increased their insurance rates to $605.00 that includes a $25.00 processing fee. Motion was made by Barbara Palmer to raise the insurance to $100,000.00 at the cost of $40.00. It was 2nd by Mary Campbell. We will report that we have no equipment and will not be doing cattle the fall. Meeting was adjorned at 8:47, motion given by Susan Sexton and 2nd by Rusty Sexton.
