MINUTES of MEETING June 5 2007

The meeting was called to order at 8:50 PM.
The May minutes were read by secretary, Carla Miller. Jack Sweetnam moved they be accepted as read. Mary Campbell seconded. Motion carried.
President's report: No report.
Treasurer's report: Lori Bowles reported a $1167.78 net loss for year thus far. $10,142.69 balance as of 5/31/2007.
A new signature card will be done with new officers. Also, the checking account fee will be questioned. Lori will send e-mail with excel spreadsheet format to the new treasurer. Sue Sweetnam will contact bank about signature cards.

OLD BUSINESS
There was a general discussion about the Westerman's proposal as follows:
1. To charge $25 per entry at our trials for secretary fees, postage, printing catalog costs, stock, building usage, and stock handling fees. This also includes setup and port a toilet. -- or--
2. To charge $20 per entry for stock handling, building use, stock and port-a-toilet. -- or --
3. To charge $15 per entry for building use and port-a-toilet and stock. The club would be responsible for the AKC fees and times, scribes, and runners.

John Coxon made motion that Wade Campbell be allowed to negotiate rate for trial. Tom Casey amended that we accept maximum of $25 per entry, but club raise fees to $45 per entry. Sue Sweetnam seconded motion and Mary Campbell seconded amendments to motion. Motion as amended carried.

Election of officers: Tom Casey moved we accept slate of officers and John Cox on seconded. Motion carried.
The officers are Wade Campbell, President, David Brundage, V. President, Sue Sweetnam, Treasurer, Carla Miller, Secretary, Jane Harrell, Mary Campbell, and Jack Sweetnam as Board Members.

Membership: No new applications were turned into Sue. Dues are due in June. Mail them to Sue Sweetnam.
NEW BUSINESS
There was a general agreement to not have July meeting as it falls on July 3rd, the night before the July 4th holiday.
Sue Sweetnam moved that the club reimburse Carla Miller for the 2 sheep that died as a result of the Meet the Sheep. John Coxon seconded. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 10 PM.
