MINUTES of MEETING May 19 2007

The meeting was called to order at 9 PM. The April minutes were read by secretary, Carla Miller. Sue Sweetnam moved the minutes be accepted as read. Mary Campbell seconded. Motion carried. Treasurer's report: There was none.

OLD BUSINESS
Larry Painter and Sheryl McDonald are our judges for the December 2007 trial.
David Brundage reported that Lori Bowles resigned as treasurer.
Mary Campbell moved we nominate Sue Sweetnam as treasurer. David Brundage seconded. Sue accepted the nomination and motion carried.
Jack Sweetnam moved nominations be closed. Sue Sweetnam seconded. Motion carried.

The slate of officers nominated are as follows:
President: Wade Campbell -- V.President: David Brundage -- Secretary: Carla Miller -- Treasurer: Sue Sweetnam
Board: Jack Sweetnam, Mary Campbell, Jane Harrell
There was a general discussion about the Meet the Sheep experience. It was decided in the future to limit the entries to 30 with pre-entry. Also, it was decided to cut the 100' x 50' in half and round the corners. Also, we decided to have buckle collars available. No chokes are to be used.

NEW BUSINESS
The Westerman proposal for charges for the trial was discussed. In general, it was proposed to charge the club $25 per entry to include secretary fees, stock handling, facility use, stock and portable toilet.
There was an alternative of $20 per entry for all except secretary fees or $15 per entry for facility use, stock and portable toilet only. The club is to supply timers, scribes, and runners and the AKC recording fees. It was decided to table discussion until the next meeting at which time we would decide on a counter proposal.
Sue Sweetnam moved NCTHDA reimburse Carla Miller for the portable toilet. Jack Sweetnam seconded. Motion carried.
Jack Sweetnam and Wade Campbell moved we adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 PM.

Jane Harrell was present for the Meet the Sheep and helped out with the Aussies. Thanks, Jane. She was unable to stay for the meeting.
